BIO
Hi! I am Autumn Shinn, known online as Luxiah, and I compose in many different styles! I do all my work in Ableton Live 11, mainly on keyboard and guitar. I play lots of instruments, including violin, ukulele, various percussion instruments, and mandolin, but I’m the most skilled at keyboard/piano and guitar (classical, acoustic, and electric). I listen to a wide variety of music including pop-punk (Paramore, Yours Truly, and Cinema Stare are my favorites), indie rock (Hozier, Car Seat Headrest, Garbage), and video game soundtracks (Hollow Knight, Omori, anything by Lena Raine).
MY EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
I mostly focus on video games and the creation of atmosphere through music, sound effects, and ambiance, but I also am open to doing short films or other projects.
I have pretty good knowledge of game design and programming and have participated in several game jams. I’ve mainly worked in Godot and GDscript, but I also have some experience with Unity and Unreal Engine and have some basic C# knowledge from working on projects with a friend as well as some basic Java knowledge from working on Minecraft mods and plugins.

EDUCATION
I’m currently a student at Florida State University. I was homeschooled throughout middle school, and I played mandolin and sang in a choir every week for most of the year, so I had an early start on ear training between that and the music my dad, uncles, and grandparents would always play.
In high school, I began dual enrollment and Santa Fe College, and immediately dove headfirst into music. Every credit hour that wasn’t spent fulfilling general education requirements went toward music. I also began taking lessons outside of school for violin, piano, voice, and music theory, as well as continuing choir and other performance-based extra-curriculars. I graduated high school in May of 2024 with a 4.75 GPA and an ever-growing dedication to music.
Looking forward, I plan to continue learning music theory and practicing my instruments until I’ve taken them as far as they can go (and then starting a new instrument), whether inside or outside of academia.
